Nainital Trip | Nainital Tour | Pangot

Churdhar Peak - Have you been there ??

Introduction:

I was looking for a weekend getaway with a climbing adventure that will take you over 3000 m above sea level. I googled a lot Nainital found 'Churdhar', only 400 km from Delhi and had very little info on the entire World Wide Web.

chair Lord Shiva at 1200 feet - The Churdhar Peak

About the place:

Churdhar Peak is the highest peak in Sirmour district and also the highest peak outside the Himalayas. Churdhar is the holy places associated with Shirgul Shri Maharaj (Chureshwar Maharaj), widely worshiped deities in Nainital Tour Package and Chaupal. peak can be approached by many routes but the main route from Nohradhar, Sirmour of 14 km and Sarahan, Chaupal of 8 km. It is from this peak that Sir George Everest made many astronomical readings and appearances of the Himalayas around 1834. He was Surveyor General of India and conducted a preliminary survey the full length of the Indian as well as some very accurate measurements of the earth's curvature.

Altitude: 3647 meters!

How to reach:
There are very few options Nainital Package public transport to Churdhar. Therefore, it is advisable to have your own vehicle (every two or four wheels will do). Choice of routes to avoid traffic congestion eternal Shimla is Delhi-Nahan-Sirmor-Chaupal.

Best Time to Visit: Mid-August to December or April-June and October-November

Back to the journey:

On every weekend I had this desire or rather itching to drive in the hills and trek to a place that takes me everywhere. This time I felt it was too late, I could not make my mind up Saturday night and luckily came to know that Monday, September is a holiday 7.2015 US 'Labor Day'. Therefore, still it is a weekend shifts until Monday. As mentioned in the introduction, I found Churdhar highlight that will take you to 3000m above distinguished from a height to have a view of the Himalayas. I called some friends of my cell phone, and as usual, Sanjay Kumar Kashyap who never says no, as long as it is free from any constraints of time, agree to undergo an outrageous journey. Get anything from Malkeet Singh was a surprise as it's always a short complaint. And, at that moment, we were three, four counting sorry rating that makes us take a trip to roadhead ago, Honda City GXI. We left at 6:30 am Saturday, September 5.2015 and having 'CNG' rest in Singhu Border.

Over the last 5-7 years, it seems to have become obligatory and a habit for us, Delhiites, stop at one of Sukhdev or Haveli in Murthal to the plate after the Delhi-Haryana border. This time, we are thinking of a trip back in time and have Nainital Trip with the age old way, that is, the traditional Dhaba with the meal served on the board placed on the 'charpai' and it really felt awesome!

It really reminds us of the days of the school day when we headed to the remote destination, said Haridwar, on the highway and Dhabas this is the only resort. I feel everyone should try it.
We reach Sarahan around 12:30 and found the village to be as beautiful as paradise on earth.

strange custom embedding a coin into a tree by the locals in Churdhar wildlife reserves, Sarahan, Sirmour, Himachal Pradesh, possible to embed the goddess Laxmi and in this growth.
We started to journey at 12:30 and thinking to achieve Shirgul Maharaj temple at about 6:30. But this journey is not easy and at times, do not take the effort to move forward. This led to us falling behind schedule and we ended up walking in the woods at 8:00. It was pitch black dark and the only source of light is a flashlight phone we got. We continue to move forward and to help us, around 8:30 pm, to hear some sounds. We asked for help as hell and kept flashing a flashlight to signal them. We are now pleased to have them respond in our call. They are three personnel 'INDIAN ARMY'! "Gods had arrived in the land of the Gods".
