Nainital | Nainital Tour Package | Nainital Package

Prashar Lake - A sight which really is an eye Earth "A lake is the landscape's most beautiful features and expressive. It is the eye of the earth; see where the depth gauge saw his own Nainital. " - Henry David Thoreau

Introduction:

Prashar lake is long overdue in 'place for travel list' me. Pics lakes around the internet just riveting. I always wanted to spend a few days camping in this scenic beauty. I never knew getting there is almost effortless. Every Nainital Tour Package I see a photo of this magnificent lake rhythm on the internet I just feel like being there.

About the place: Prashar Lake is located 49 km north of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India, with a three-storey pagoda-like temple dedicated to sage Prashar. The lake has an island floating in it and say it is not clear how deep it was, by a diver could not determine the depth. Prashar lake just 480 km from Delhi and had to do a weekend destination.  Altitude: 2560 meters

How to reach: Prashar lake about 50 km from the town of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. direct bus form Delhi to Mandi available from ISBT Kashmiri Gate and the last bus leaves at 10:30 pm. A motorable road runs right uptill lake. Just Nainital Package for directions at Bath for Katola. The road condition of Katola was a little challenging but easy to do if you have experience driving in the hills. Public transportation to the lake Prashar almost nothing. The only bus available departing from Mandi at 7:30 am and reach Parashar Lake at 11:30 am. Leaves for Bath at 1:30 pm the same day and reach bath at 5 pm. Here are a number of bus drivers in case you need to confirm the status of the bus for the trip.

Best Time to Visit: March to November. Prashar lakes may become inaccessible by road from November until mid-February of last week due to the heavy snow. However, this may prove to be the best time but not the safest.

Brief Itinerary:

Leave to Kashmiri Gate ISBT at 11:30 pm. Board bus to Chandigarh at 1:30 am, Chandigarh to Bath for Katola to Prashar Lake. Reach Prashar Lake at 5 pm. Quiet, camping overnight. half-way journey to Tunga Mata (could not finish this trip due to bad weather conditions clear) Trek to the Nainital Trip alongside the lake Prashar for a great aerial view. Leave at 1:30 am by bus directly from Prashar lake bath. Reach Delhi Next morning.

Back to the journey:

Day 1: I desire to camp in this beautiful jewel and got a call from Sandeep Sharma (HR at NIIT Technologies) plan for a weekend trip. It should Prashar lake!

I have two Quechua tent camping and think 2 people utilize this second time. I immediately called the guy who never says no to a weekend trip "Sanjay Kashyap '. One's friends Sandeep Deepak also join for a trip this weekend. So now we are four with camping gear to experience the quiet beauty Prashar Lake.

Here is the plan: catch the overnight bus to Bath from ISBT Kashmiri Gate, reaching bath at 9 am.
Baghi village to bathe by 12:00.

7-8 km 4 hours Trek to Prashar lake from Baghi with ease.

Reach Prashar Lake around 5, overnight camping in Prashar Lake. Leave Sunday afternoon and back to Delhi.

Simple, but ... we have a problem with bus schedules here, bust last bath of Kashmiri Gate ISBT leaves at 10:30 pm and we shift of office ends at 10:30. Nevertheless, we are quite committed to a plan to achieve Kashmiri Gate ISBT around 11:30 and the bus ride to Chandigarh and then catch an early morning bus from Chandigarh to Mandi. ISBT Kashmiri Gate has a 24 hour bus service from Delhi to Chandigarh every 30 minutes.
